Besuch aus den USA – Ein spannender Einblick in das Leben in Montana

On Monday, Scott and Sherri visited us. They are an English-speaking couple who live in Montana in the USA. It was very interesting to talk to them and learn more about their life. Scott and Sherri do not like watching horror movies because they think they are too scary. Scott’s favorite Austrian food is “Schnitzel” Sherri said that she would like to cook “Kaiserschmarrn” at a family gathering one day. She is very confident and believes that she makes the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world. They mostly speak only English. However, they know one funny German word: “Oachkatzerlschwoich”. 

They also told us some interesting things about life in the USA. In some places, people are allowed to carry guns or pistols openly, so other people can see them. Another interesting thing they told us is that there are bears where they live. Because of that, Scott always takes bear spray with him when he goes into the forest. He said that he has already seen bears many times. 

In the end, it was a very interesting visit and we learned many new things about their life in Montana. 🙂

On Monday, Scott and Sherri visited us. They are American people who live in Montana. They are a couple. They do not like to watch horror movies because they think they are too scary. Scott’s favorite Austrian food is Schnitzel. Sherri would like to cook Kaiserschmarrn. She is very convinced that she can make the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world. But they know one German sentence: “Nein, danke! Ich bin satt!” They told us that in America people can carry guns or pistols. This means that other people must be able to see them. They also told us that there are bears there. Because of that, Scott always takes bear spray with him when he goes into the forest. He said that he has seen bears many times. It was a great time with Scott and Sherri.

On Monday the 9th of March two people from America visited our school. In the English lesson we talked about many things. A few things I can list are for example finding out about their village, about the highest mountain close to them, about how many children visit American schools, about Donald Trump and about their favourite food in Austria. I liked them because they were really nice and I enjoyed the time they took to speak English with us. They were also very funny and the man said that he sees bears very often and that they are very big and dangerous. I liked this lesson more than most of the other lessons because it was something different for change. I would like to thank our American guests. 🙂

On Monday the 9th of March an American couple visited us. Their names were Scott and Sherri. We were allowed to ask them what we wanted. And I was really surprised again by the interesting facts they told us about their homeland and themselves. 

Scott and Sherri do not like horror movies because they think they are too scary. Scott also told us that his favourite Austrian food is “Schnitzel”. He said he really likes it, but he hasn’t eaten it since he arrived on Wednesday. Sherri said that her favourite Austrian food is the “Kaiserschmarren” and she is very sure that her “Kaiserschmarrn” is the best in the world. 

Scott and Sherry are very bad at speaking German because they only speak English, but their favourite word is “Oachkatzlschwoaf”. Sherri also told us that she often needs to say ,,Nein danke, ich bin satt,”  

They also told us that in America people in some places can carry guns or pistols openly, so other people can see them, but Scott also told us that he’s not afraid of being shot or anything. Scott said that there are bears where the couple live, so he always takes bear spray and a gun with him when he goes into the forest. But he has never shot one and has already seen many bears and also very big dangerous grizzly bears.  

I was very happy that Scott and Sherry came back this year. And I would be very happy if they told us exciting things about them again next year.

It’s always nice when you visit us! 

This week we had visitors from the USA and it was great. Every year Scott and Sherri come to our school and we are allowed to ask them whatever we want. Whether it's about their everyday life, their personality or something else.   

Some of our questions were “Have you ever been to New York?”, “Is there anything that is completely different in Austria than in the USA?” or “What is your favorite Austrian food?”, and we got lots of nice and sometimes funny answers. Scott also talked about bear hunting and it was very exciting to listen to him and his nice stories.  

It's a very cool experience every year and I'm already looking forward to next year and hope that we are going to have a lot of nice and funny things to talk about.

On Monday we had visitors from the USA. 

They told us many, many exciting things about hunting and the USA and guns. 

I found it really exciting that you can go into a supermarket with guns, but the guns must be visible. 

Justin Timberlake also lives in that area, which is really cool. 

I had one question for him and this question was: "What was the most dangerous animal he has ever seen while hunting?” He said the most dangerous animal he saw was a grizzly bear. There are many of them and he saw a lot of them.  

Another exciting thing he told us about was that in his town there is always a lot of snow and they have got many mountains or skiing resorts. We also talked about ice hockey, which was really exciting for me. His son was also playing for a Canadian team when he was younger. That’s really cool. 

I hope they will come again next year.  

Jakob 

On Monday we had some visitors from the USA named Scott and Sherri. Last year they visited us too and we asked them so many great questions about their lives and what’s special about the USA.  

First we asked Scott if he is still hunting bears and whether he had ever seen a big and dangerous grizzly bear. Then Max asked a special question,” How many Mac Donald's restaurants are there near your  home?” and Sherri said that there are many more Mac Donnald’s restaurants  near our homes than in the US. I asked them if they ever visited the beautiful and big city of New York and they both answered that they visited it  many many years ago and they explained to us that it’s so beautiful and that we must visit it when we  are a little bit older. 

At the end of the lesson, they praised us for speaking English so well and said it was fun to talk to us. I hope they can visit us again in the 4th class.

On Monday, two people from the USA came to visit us. 

Their names are Scott and Sherri. They answered all the questions we asked them for example, what's their favourite food, what is it like to live in the USA, are there grizzly bears, have you ever met a bear. They answered all the questions.  

I think they are nice people and I hope they will come next year too.

Last Monday two people from the USA visited our class. They were called Scott and Sherri.  

We could ask them many questions about their life in America. For example, we asked about their favourite food in Austria and why they are visiting schools. They also told us about their rescue system and something about the guns and shootings in America. One of the most interesting things we talked about was bear hunting and we asked if Scott is still bear hunting today. 

I think it was very nice to hear about their life in another country. We learned many new things and it was a great experience for our class.

On Monday, March 9th we had some visitors from the USA. Their names were Scott and Sherry. We talked about many things like what Scott is doing in his free time and things like that. I liked the lesson very much because it was interesting to see what life in America is like. Scott told us about his hunting season and they told us how it is to go skiing in America and how big the highest mountain in Montana is.

Scott and Sherri from the USA came to visit our school. They were very nice and friendly. Our class was happy to meet them. We could ask them many questions about life in the United States. 

We asked about schools in the USA and if there is a cheerleader team.We also asked them some things about our country. For example, what their favorite Austrian food was. They said: "Wiener Schnitzel." I think that's great because I also love it. 

Scott and Sheri also told us about American food, sports, and holidays. It was interesting to learn about the differences between the USA and Austria.

On Monday two people from the USA visited us. They told us what it’s like to live where they live. Scott told us that when hiking in their area, it’s always good to have bear spray and a pistol with you because you might encounter a bear at any time. They told us something about the schools in the USA. They said the schools in the USA are much bigger than the Ski-MS Neustift. The highest mountain where the two people live is called Granite Peak; it is 3,900 metres high.

On Monday, Scott and Sherri visited us. They live in the USA (Montana). They are a couple. They do not like horror movies because they think they are too scary. 

Scott’s favorite Austrian food is “Schnitzel”. Sherri would like to cook Kaiserschmarrn at a family meeting one day. She is very sure that she can make the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world.

On Monday, Scott and Sherri visited us. They live in Montana in the USA. They are a couple and they came to spend some time with us and tell us about their life. 

Scott and Sherri do not like horror movies because they think they are too scary. They prefer other kinds of movies. We also talked about Austrian food. Scott said that his favorite Austrian food is “Schnitzel”. He really likes it very much. Sherri talked about Kaiserschmarrn. She said that she would like to cook Kaiserschmarrn at a family meeting one day. She is very confident and said that she can make the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world. 

They can almost only speak English. However, they know one funny German word: “Eichkatzelschwoaf”. They were very proud that they could say this difficult word. 

Scott and Sherri also told us some interesting things about life in the USA. For example, in some places people are allowed to carry guns or pistols openly. That means other people must be able to see the gun. 

They also told us about nature in Montana. There are many forests and wild animals there, including bears. Because of that, Scott always takes bear spray with him when he goes into the forest. Bear spray is used for protection if a bear comes too close. Scott said that he has already seen bears many times in the wild. 

It was very interesting to listen to their stories and to learn more about their life in Montana.

In the English lesson on Monday two American people called Scott and Sherri visited us. They told us about life in the USA and we could ask them some questions. For example how much snow they have,  but basically about everything. It was very cool with the guys from the USA and we had a lot of fun. 😀
